- For verification purposes, we will need a copy of your driving license and a household bill dated within the last 6 weeks to confirm your current address.
- A £500 deposit is required upon collection and will be fully refunded when the trailer is returned undamaged and in the same condition you originally received the trailer.
- Kindly be aware that you will be responsible for the full cost of any damage incurred to the trailer during the hire period. In the event of the trailer not being returned, you will be liable for its full retail replacement price.
- You will also need to supply your own number plate for the trailer.
- Please note that the trailer must be collected from and returned to our business premises located in Oundle Northamptonshire.
- As part of your trailer hire, we will provide you with a spare wheel, wheel clamp, and a hitch lock for your convenience.
- Please be advised that all pricing is subject to availability, and bookings are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. We require full payment at the time of reservation.
- Other terms and conditions apply to the hire agreement.

Building on the success of the Touring Country, Cheval Liberte have (25/8/23) announced the Cheval Liberte Touring Country XL. This new model is built to resemble many of the features which makes the Touring Country so popular. It’s built longer, wider, and higher to ensure the larger horses can be accommodated,
The Cheval Liberte Touring Country XL has the classic Cheval Liberte features including the coil spring with shock absorber suspension and the 5 year warranty aluminium planking, but it also offers a larger space with front ramp and an optional tack locker that can accommodate full-sized saddles!
The trailer has all the usual Cheval Liberte benefits, such as suspension, lower ride height, light unladen weight, heavy-duty folding away jockey wheel, rear ramp/barn door, but it now has an enlarged window above the front ramp, a new full height jockey door and a revised headboard with removable cover.
We are delighted to be able to include a free 12 month membership to the Equine rescue Service with your trailer purchase (the scheme covers your trailer and the horse being transported in it). Please ask for more details.

Types of Finance
Hire Purchase
This is our most common form of finance package – this is where a minimum of 20% deposit is placed (the VAT) and the remainder of the value is spread over the finance term. Each monthly payment is fixed from the start, and at the end of the agreement you own the vehicle outright.
This funding option which can be taken up to 10 years.
A balloon option of up to 60% is also available. Balloons are based on the future residual value of the horsebox, it adds flexibility to the deal whereby you can upgrade your vehicle sooner than you were previously able to.
Business users can also claim 100% of interest offset again taxable profits and claim down yearly write-down allowances against the vehicle. As well as claiming back the VAT deposit.
Finance Lease
The lease option is very similar to a hire purchase, with only two differences: 1 – the VAT does not need to be placed as deposit – so as little as 5% can be put down. 2 – at the end of the contract a title transfer payment must be made (typically charged at the fixed monthly rental). This is more flexible and VAT/Tax efficient, as each lease cost can be offset again pre tax profits, thus saving cira 20% per year for business users.
With the only difference being the VAT is spread across the term, rather than paid upfront. Thereby aiding cash flow.
Terms can be arranged up to 10 years with minimal deposit, and balloons of up to 60%.
