It is your responsibility as a road user to make sure that the vehicle you are transporting is properly secured. The load should be properly secured before taking it out on the road and you should make sure that the lashing straps are adequate for the load constraint and that the lashing straps are correctly connected to the chassis of the trailer and rated attachment points.
